【学生体験談】
京都工芸繊維大学での滞在中、私は論文に取り組み、研究を発展させる機会を得ました。熊田先生のご支援により、タンパク質と私たちが作ったハイドロキシアパタイトとの相互作用を共に研究することができました。それは、単に論文のためのデータ収集に成功したというだけでなく、個人的にも、またその専門を志す者としても、成長の糧となる忘れられない経験でした。
加えて、他の学生や研究者と自分を比較できたことも、自分にとって非常に有益でした。また、自分とは全く異なる文化と向き合い、交流する貴重な機会ともなりました。この選択は私にとって大きなチャンスであり、自分を成長させる機会となりました。
日本は歴史、伝統、そして学ぶべき資質に満ちた国です。みんなに勧めたい経験ですし、できればもっと自分を表現できるように、日本語を話せるようになってまた戻ってきたいと思います。
自分にとって快適な殻を破り、自分の国から抜け出して、まったく新しい異文化に関わることは、間違いなく成長をもたらします。私は、好奇心や探究心、知識欲を満たしてくれる日本の環境の中で研究をすることに情熱を見出すことができました。
このような素晴らしい経験をさせてくださった京都工芸繊維大学の全ての方々、まりこうじ会館と管理人の方、国際課の皆さん、熊田先生と研究室の皆様に改めてお礼を申し上げます。常に力強いサポートをいただいたおかげで、何の問題もなく滞在できました。本当にありがとうございました。

Student report:
During my stay at KIT, I had the opportunity to work on my thesis and expand my research. Thanks to the support of Professor Kumada-sensei, we explored together the interaction between proteins and hydroxyapatite produced by us. It was an unforgettable experience, highly formative from a personal and professional point of view, in addition to the fact that we successfully collected data on the above thesis.
Being able to compare myself with other students and professionals was very formative for me. It was also an opportunity to confront as well as interact with a culture that is definitely different from mine. The route was a great chance for me and an opportunity to push myself.
Japan is a country full of history, traditions and qualities to absorb. It’s an experience that I would recommend to everyone and I can’t wait to come back, maybe speaking Japanese, so I can express myself better.
It is definitely formative to get out of your own comfort bubble, out of your own country and interact with a totally new and different culture. In addition, I was able to discover a passion for research and work in the Japanese environment, where I was able to satisfy my curiosity and my desire to discover and deepen my knowledge.
I want to thank once again the whole KIT, the Marikoji Kaikan and its managers, the International Affairs Office, Professor Kumada-sensei and his laboratory for the fantastic experience. I had no problems during my time there, and their support was always very strong and certainly appreciated.
